Coconut Sap Sugar

The vascular sap collected from unopened inflorescence of coconut (Kalparasa) in the fresh unfermented from is a rich source of sugar, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. It is totally chemical/preservative free by maintaining a cold chain process right from the palm top till it is processed.

Coconut Sap Sugar is the crystallised form of sugar prepared from Unfermented Coconut flower sap (Kalparasa). It is prepared by concentrating unfermented Coconut flower sap to a syrup consistency and naturally crystallizing it. Coconut sap sugar is very delicious, has more nutrients and does not spike blood sugar like other types of sweeteners.

Unlike other natural and common sugars which have a range of Glycaemic Index (GI) from 65 to 100 per serving:

  • Date sugar - 100 GI per serving
  • Maple Syrup - 69+ GI per serving
  • Bee Honey - 70+ GI per serving

Coconut sugar has a low glycaemic index (G1-35) and a low glycaemic load (GL-1) which makes coconut sugar the safest natural sweetener for all health conscious people and diabetic patients.
